National Rugby League (NRL)

League in Australia enjoys enormous support at all levels with participants and fans drawn from all walks of life. Our involvement is just as diverse with programs for juniors to sponsorship of our NRL elite.

The Telstra Kids to Kangaroos coaching clinics give five to 17 year old children a great introduction to the game, without so much of the rough and tumble. Over a minimum of three hours, kids learn to have fun with passing, catching and kicking, tackling tackle bags and playing modified and safe touch footy.

The Telstra Assistance Fund for Rugby League also supports the development of the game at a community level. Telstra provides equipment such as goal posts, pads and tackle bags to junior rugby league clubs as part of this initiative.

In addition, Telstra Legends Shield is a series of competitive carnivals under the Telstra K2K program. It involves a series of school based 7-a-side sub regional carnivals for under 12s culminating in a NSW regional round robin Finals Day.
